Bermuda insurance
This week, Reuters Select Top Down focus articles examine companies with market capitalization that puts them in the Mid-Cap category. In other words, these companies have a market cap somewhere between $1 billion and about $5 billion, inclusive. Today, we look at Bermuda-based insurance company Endurance Specialty Holdings (ENH). ENH has a market cap of about $2.32 billion. It recently caught our attention when it appeared on Reuters Select stock screens in both the Growth and Value categories. Within the Growth arena, ENH was recently found on the screen for Sales Growth Leaders. And, in the Value segment, ENH registered on the Favored Value Plays screen.

 Bermuda counts cost of hurricane
The people of Bermuda have been assessing the damage caused by a powerful hurricane which swept into the British territory on Friday afternoon, leaving a trail of destruction and four people missing.
Hurricane Fabian, pushing winds of 193 kilometres per hour (120 miles per hour), was the worst to hit the island in 50 years.

Four people are missing, feared dead, after their vehicles were swept away in the most powerful hurricane to hit Bermuda in 50 years.
Two police officers and two civilians are thought to have been blown into the sea as they travelled along a shattered causeway connecting the main island to the airport.
