Canadian Choral Conductors in Their Own Words
edited by Holly Higgins Jonas 252 pages Dundurn Press
They are at the heart of every community in Canada, whether they be singing in concert or rehearsal, in a worship service or at a special event. They are Canada’s choirs, and their dedication to their craft is a source of both entertainment and inspiration. And at the heart of every choir, there is a choir master who, through talent and commitment, brings the voices together.
Holly Higgins Jonas has been involved in choral activities all her life. She has been president of the McGill Choral Society, a member of England’s Royal Choral Society, and a member of many community and church choirs in Canada. more on the Book launch

the Perfect Son February 2nd. 2001, A movie Produced by Jennifer Jonas
performances by Colm Feore and David Cubitt (Nominated for 'Best Lead Actor' 2001 Canadian Genies) aren't at all stagey. The two play estranged brothers: Theo (Cubitt) is the just-out-of-rehab screw-up and Ryan (Feore) is the titular favoured son, a conservative lawyer. Theo accidentally discovers his brother is gay, and dying of AIDS, and the two forge a fragile reunion just as Theo is trying to salvage a relationship with his girlfriend, an ambitious medical student (played gracefully by Chandra West).
