C.J. Howard
CYBERCA$H is the story of President MICHAEL CHISWELL, who abolishes cash in order to consolidate his power, and Senator ROBERT TRENT, who must choose between conflicting loyalties—to his party, to his principles, and to his family. MAGGIE TRENT records the odyssey of an enthusiastic couple, ready to set Washington on its ear, through triumphs and tragedy, as Robert tries to resolve the conflict between his principles and his political ambitions and Maggie herself learns to challenge an all-invasive government. The shocking ending of CYBERCA$H is a wake-up call to those who disregard the issue of privacy rights. also at Amazom

Sunday, September 28, 2008 Tragedy in the Making in Washington and on Wall Street: The Canadian Solution The Washington
gridlock about finding a solution to the subprime
financial crisis in the
United States is turning into a tragedy, seemingly because of a fundamental
lack of understanding and communication about the causes of this financial
crisis and the most efficient way to solve it. The nature of the crisis, the
economic consequences if it is not solved, and how it could be solved without
costing the government and U.S. taxpayers a single penny has not been properly
explained to Congress and to the U.S. population.

Welcome to The Code for Global Ethics
This is the site of the coming book The Code for Global Ethics: Toward a humanist civilization by Dr. Rodrigue Tremblay.*
The central message of the book is that it is not necessary to be very religious to act morally, and that on the contrary, when people are religious to the point of fanaticism, they become immoral.
This book provides a moral compass for anyone who seeks to follow its principles in order to think and act as a humanist. The author develops the idea that rational humanism provides an objective moral code, and offers reasons for behaving morally, within the global context of a shrinking world. Since our worldview affects how we interact with others, any moral code must be judged as to how its adherents treat other people and whether or not it improves people's lives. If the adherents treat others badly and their moral code reduces people's quality of life, it is a bad moral code; if the adherents treat others with dignity and respect and the code improves people's lives, it is a good code of ethics.
—This is the ultimate pragmatic test of reality and results.

The New American Empire
What is behind the American-led war in Iraq? Has the long and uninterrupted march towards globalization and world economic interdependence reached a zenith and begun to regress? What will be the consequences for the United States and for the world? The author explains the fundamental shift that foreign and domestic policies have taken under George W. Bush, since September 11, 2001. Besides attempting to focus a critical light on the new international geopolitical situation against the backdrop of the war in Iraq, the book adopts the larger perspective of the evolution of Western civilization over the last five and a half centuries, that is, since the fall of Constantinople in 1453.
