To convert the plain-text file to an address book format that is readable
by Netscape. The best program to do this trick is something called
Dawn version 4.1. It can convert address books between Netscape,
Outlook, Eudora, Pegasus and other cbc programs as well as create
address books from text files. Amazingly, this program is free and youm can get it by visiting the following address: www.freeyellow.com/members8/zakharin/Software/Dawn.html

If you have the capability to operate at screen resolutions greater than VGA (640x480) then just do it!
While our site will accommodate VGA resolution, some areas and charts simply can't fit into the

scroll down pages.

Windows associates certain file types with designated applications
on your system. What this means is that when you double-click on a
file, Windows tells your system to open the file with the associated
application. These associations are based on the file extension such as
.zip for compressed archives or .doc for document files. In this case,
Windows has associated .mp3 files with the Microsoft Media Player and
is playing them as streaming audio. What you want to do is to
associate the .mp3 files on your system with whatever player you are
using to listen to your MP3s.
To do this right click on Start menu. Choose Explorer
Click on the View menu and select Folder Options. Click on the File Types tab. This lists all of your file associations. Scroll down the list until you find .mp3 then press the Edit button. You then highlight open and press the Edit button. Next hit the
Browse button and locate to the executable (.exe) file of the MP3 player you want to use in place of Media Player. Hit the OK button,
then the Close button and you're done. [Thanks to Web Q&A MARK STACHIEW]

Y2K
Although many people will be celebrating
the beginning of a new millennium on December 31, 1999, the fact is that
on January 1, 2000, predictions are that over 60% of the world's computers
will not work! Computers originally programmed to recognize only the last
two digits of a year will not work properly beginning January 1, 2000,
when these machines will assume it is 1900. Some computers can be reprogrammed,
but many devices have embedded microchips that must be physically replaced.
Will you lose all of the information stored in your computer?
Wednesday-night.com uses an operating system and software that are not subject to any Y2K problems, since no references to two digit dates are used.

I can't seem to send e-cbc. I keep etting error messages about not being able to write temporary files.

Server 500 errors
What do I do about a Server 500 Error?
Most server errors are caused
by temporary problems and are easily solved.
- Press the "Back" button on your web
browser and try your action again.
- If you get the same error again, you
are probably trying to submit a form with invalid data such as special
characters. Try rewording your entries and submit the form
again.
- If the problem continues, you may
have uncovered a bug. Please contact support to report it.

Slow response time
"I hit a button and nothing happened for a long time. What is going on?"
If you hit a button or a click on a
link and nothing happens for an unusually long time, your browser is "hanging".
This means that it is waiting for information from a server or that it
is busy processing.
At certain times of the day, the
network between your computer and ours gets busy so sometimes you have
to wait a little longer for a response. We have more than enough computing
power to process your requests. So if your browser hangs, it is probably
due to a network bottleneck somewhere along the way.
This should never last more than
a minute or two. If it does, the best thing to do is to resubmit your request
by pressing the same button (or link) again.
If your browser hangs frequently,
clearing your cache may help.
To clear your cache in Netscape
Navigator 4.0 or later version, choose "Edit" and "Preferences...", then click
the "Plus" sign next to "Advanced". Click "Cache"; then select "Clear Disk
Cache".
To clear your cache in Netscape
Navigator 3.0, choose "Options" and "Network Preferences". Under the "Cache"
tab, click "Clear disk cache now".
To clear your cache in Microsoft
Internet Explorer, choose "View" and then "Options" and click the "Advanced"
tab. Under "Temporary Internet Files", click the "Settings" button and
then click "Empty Folder".

Browser crashes
Why does my Netscape browser
crash sometimes when I press the "Back" button" Occasionally, on Windows
95 and NT platforms, Netscape has been known to crash when hitting the
"Back" button on pages that use frames. This is a problem with the Netscape
browser.
To avoid this situation, we suggest
you use the links on the left-hand navigation bar as well as "back" or
links
that are provided when appropriate. Alternatively, you could use a different
browser.
What do I do if my browser crashes?
If your computer freezes or crashes
while you are at the Wednesday-night.com web site, there is a problem with your
copy of your browser. We use some unusual, though fully supported, scripts
to deliver our service, so you should not have this
problem.
The best thing to do is restart
your browser and/or your computer. If this does not solve your problem,
you may need to either reinstall your browser or use a different
one.
Known bugs
Pushing a button or following a link does not appear to do anything
Repeat after me "our father who..."
All or part of a frame disappears
When you click on a link,
it is targeted to a particular frame (in most cases the main frame), but
occasionally your browser will not "hit the target". Instead it will wipe
out the navigation bar, taking up what was two frames.
This should not be a persistent
problem, but if it is, you will need to reinstall your browser or use a different
version.
When the navigation bar disappears,
you obviously cannot exit Wednesday-night.com. To remedy this, you may be able
to restore the navigation bar by clicking on your browser "Back" button.
If this does not restore the links, you will need to go back to our start
page and login again.
Also, when you resize or minimize
a window, pages that have been cached, especially ones that are the result
of a form submission (post operation), may sometimes be dropped. This is
true even for the currently displayed page and depends on how much memory
your computer has available.
If the whole page does not disappear,
but only part of the content is missing, chances are it actually is there.
Sometimes, browsers will not "paint" everything on the
screen.
If you click on the area that was
not painted, you may be able to see the missing text, button, box, etc.
If this does not work, you should refresh or reload the frame by clicking
in the frame where the missing data should be and then click on "Refresh"
or "Reload" from your browser's menu.
Closing and reopening your browser
may be necessary if this problem persists. You may alsOWN to clear the
browser's cache.
To clear your cache in Netscape
Navigator 4.0 or later, choose "Edit" and "Preferences...", then click
the "Plus" sign next to "Advanced". Click "Cache"; then select "Clear Disk
Cache".
To clear your cache in Netscape
Navigator 3.0, choose "Options" and "Network Preferences". Under the "Cache"
tab, click "Clear disk cache now".
This is a known issue. Since
we are working on resolving it, you do not need to report this problem.
As of now there is no projected resolution date.
How do I print my Netscape Address Book in Communicator?
With Navigator it was easy to do because the address book was
stored in standard HTML format, but Communicator uses a binary
format for storing your address information. You can print it by saving it
as an LDIF file then outputting it to your printer. To do that, follow
these steps. From the Communicator menu, select Address Book. Go to
the Address Book's File menu then choose Save As. Save the Address
Book as address.ldif to the default directory. Close that window then go
to the Navigator window. From the File menu, choose Open Page. Click
Choose File and select the file you saved (address.ldif). From the File
menu, choose Print. It's much easier to do since Communicator 4.5. You
can save your Address Book as a comma-separated or tab-delimited
file, which means you can import it in to a spreadsheet or word
processor and more easily manipulate the information and customize
how you want to print it out.
