Wednesday Night

DTN click for story Salon selective
On any given Wednesday, when the City of Westmount is shutting down, when the night lights of the town's Gothic City Hall are turned on and the Mayor has left, when the elders from the lawn bowling club and the children from Westmount Park have long since gone home to dinner, riding lights will be turned on outside an Edwardian mansion on stately Rosemount Avenue, and the door will be left open a crack. (November 3, 2001) by Mireille Silcoff edited for space & some errors in minor details.

Sunday 27 July 2008 Dear Sam Totah,
The revised comments on Wednesday-Night are lovely and so much appreciated!

There is an economic salon called Wednesday Night which meets every Wednesday at 8 p.m. to discuss the issues of the day. It is hosted by David and Diana Nicholson and has been ongoing for the past 20 years, every Wednesday without fail. There is a plan to devote one of the upcoming Wednesdays to the topic of the fate and future of the Canadian $. Everything said in the room is off the record and has been so all this time.
